National jazz recording artist and composer Rob Zinn currently resides in Delaware, the birth place of the great Clifford Brown. His Delaware-based jazz group features Rob Zinn on trumpet/flugelhorn/vocals, Tom Palmer on piano, Sam Nobles on bass, Wes Morton on Drums and Kevin Lyons on sax/vocals. Formed in the Fall of 2014, the group has performed multiple times at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival along with Jeff Lorber, Eric Marienthal, Chuck Loeb and Pieces of a Dream, the Southern Maryland Wine, Jazz, R&B and Funk Festival as well as venues throughout and beyond Delaware. Rob shared the stage with Gerald Veasley, Jeanette Harris, Ken Ford, Jazmin Ghent, Deon Yates, Gary Palmer, Christian de Mesones, Jack Turner and many others at the Lake Arbor All Star Jam in 2017. He joined 2 time Grammy winner Paul Brown for an evening of bluesy, funky, hip grooves at the Loews O’Hare Hotel in Chicago to close out 2017.
In September of 2016, the group released their debut album Yesterday Again and features national recording artists Andrew Neu on sax, Gerald Veasley on bass, Lawrence Young on vocals and Rafael Padilla on percussion. The album, Yesterday Again, has been embraced by the jazz community and continues to excite audiences all over the world with songs being played on over 90 smooth jazz stations across the US and in many countries.
Rob’s latest album, called Walk The Walk, is produced by double Grammy Award winning producer Paul Brown. Walk The Walk release date is April 6th 2018. The album features collaborations with Paul and many top artists in the smooth jazz community.
